Great design and engineering. 1) Stand and wheel

Overall great tool. Stand and wheels are simple to use and not overly constructed with framing and mechanism. Laser a plus. Wide rip capacity, over 30". Good strong motor. Deep cut capacity. Dust bag is nice. Out feed support good to have. Assembly from box Is very simple and thought out well Cons: laser power supply (DC) separate but should be integrated into the saws ac power, with separate switch. 2) A lot of light gage metal and plastic used in saws components. Good for portability as it makes the saw light weight but raises concerns about durability. 3) There's an innovative planing attachment made for this saw but is currently unavailable.

Saw Works Greast

Just bought the saw. Have set it up and done some trial cuts. It seems to work great. Accessories pack away nicely and it transports well. One issue is that I looked for the accessories online and found none of them other than the finisher available. The RW9189 Table Saw Extension Table and RW9556 Dado Throat Plate are unavailable and do not even appear on the Rockwell website. My question is are they ever going to be available?

Easy setup and great features

I recently bought my Jobsite Saw and love working with it. I started woodworking about a year ago with a friend who has all the necessary tools and equipment to make woodworking fun. This is the first table saw I have purchased to do my own projects. My work area is very confined and the Rockwell Jobsite saw fits my requirements perfectly. I first bought a Sears table saw and had a whale of a time putting it together. Than finding out I was missing some key parts. I returned it to Sears and got my money back. Went to Menards and bought my Rockwell Jobsite Saw. I had the saw up and running in 10-15 minutes. The Rockwell saw is very easy to work with.

Well built and dead on accurate cuts!

My wife got this for me as a surprise! I mentioned liking how well built this was for the money! Set it up, with ease, and checked measured increments. Cut 8 pieces at different lengths and measured dead on! Cut four different angle cuts, and degree's were spot on also! Highly recommend this saw to any hobbyist, that doesn't want to drop a fortune on a high end competitor saw!

Easy Portability

I have had this table saw for about 6 months and am still finding things to like about it. Everything has been well thought out. Fence is dead-on true to the scale. Virtually no other saw out there has included the foldover extention for the fence allowing rip cutting capacity. A jewel of a saw!

Works great, very sturdy - easy to use!

Works great - I'm very happy with this saw - however it seems that the blade isn't at a 90 degree angle from the table top - when I clamp the rip fence on, if it's parallel to the rip slot, then it won't be parallel to the saw blade - it's off almost a quarter inch! I was able to adjust the rip fence to be parallel to the blade, but the blade is not aligned with the rip slot, so I can't make any jigs (like a tapered leg jig) - since it wouldn't cut a parallel cut... Is there any way to adjust this???

Early days but the future's bright

This is my first Table-saw which means my views cannot be compared to other brands but after looking at many saws within my budget, few seemed to have the feature-rich system which the RK7241S had as standard. I liked especially, the ability to add accessories like a Jointer, which seemed a logical progression from cutting a board, to smoothing an edge. After un-boxing and affixing the blade, I undertook the Blade & Fence alignment, both processes were clearly explained in the booklet instructions, although it's not helpful having to constantly flip to the first few pages, midway through the assembly instructions, to see a pictorial of a given task. The Fence seems sturdy enough and clamps well, it probably will not be as accurate as using another brand's idea of a rack & pinion fence-adjustment. I expect that would mean a substantial increase in product price though. That aside, everything else was a breeze. During initial use, I'd like to offer some points which might be incorporated in future models. To begin with, I feel there should be some spring-loaded casters on the pair of legs below the existing wheels located on the saw-base. I can appreciate I should've set up the saw in the correct location initially, but short of dragging the whole table across the garage floor, which I didn't want to do for fear of distorting the legs, I had to physically lift the whole unit to re-position it or go through the process of closing up and folding down again! Push-down or spring-loaded casters, would obviate that need. I also think there should be a vacuum-port incorporated in future models since whilst some dust falls into the bag beneath the table, the air was thick with fine dust during cutting, which necessitated the use of a filter-mask being worn. This is troublesome because I wear spectacles and breath just steams-up the lens with a mask on! Having a vacuum-port and vacuum attached would again negate this problem. It would also be helpful if the blade-guard assembly was in clear plastic and not smoked because it is unhelpful in not being able to see the wood passing the blade. This leaves the issue with Laser. In my humble & inexperienced mind, the Laser should be fixed beneath the blade-guard so that is illuminates the wood just before it hits the blade. However, all-in-all, this seems to me to be a reasonably competitive and well-equipped saw which, complete with a three year warranty, should provide a bright supportive future if Rockwell stands by their warranty, to enable me to gain experience in Table-saw capability.

Works Okay

I bought this to replace a 10" bench top saw i was using to build an entertainment center. It works fair. Didn't care for the dust bag as to much saw dust still ended up in the shop. I modified that with a dust collector. Removing the bag. Don't get me wrong it's okay. slots for the miter were closer to the blade.
