worth buying

We do a lot of microwave cooking and warming. These are perfect for that. I have microwavable plates, but if you put one of these in it before using; you have a clean plate to put back in the cabinet! I have used these for years, and certainly miss them when we accidentally forget and let them run out.

I love these!

I keep them right by my microwave. Not only do we microwave on them I use them to cover glass dishes in the microwave. Makes for cleaning the microwave less frequently.

paper plates heavy duty

This a great paper plate however, unless you pay close attention you will end up using more than you need because they are stuck together in groups of three. So if you are planning on putting them out for a group of people make sure you take the time to preseperate them or people will take more than one.

I buy these plates because they are strong enough to hold food without bending. I tried the regular Great Value plates and almost always had to use two. They were too flimsy and allowed liquids to soak through them. These heavy duty plates solved both my problems! Now I keep a stack handy.

I wasn't paying close attention & thought I selected foam plates. At first I thought it was going to be a disappointment but these things are pretty durable ! They are not flimsy and hold up to moisture.

not as strong as they once were

I have used these great value paper plates for sometime and the are alright but they aren't as heavy as they used to be and are very difficult to get apart.

They changed these plates!

I used to love these plates. They were thick, sturdy, and did not soak through. They recently redesigned them and they no longer have the sturdy, formed edge which makes them almost completely flat and unstable. Will not be purchasing these plates again! I will be looking at other stores. So disappointed, Walmart!

Quality has chg'd now a BAD value

These paper plates used to be the best, but not any more! I always purchased heavy duty because they held up. My husband picked up a pkg yesterday, and when I saw them on the counter I asked why he bought the cheap ones?? He said he bought heavy duty. I checked the pkg they came out of and it said 'heavy duty'?? Not! I still had some leftover from a package I purchased a while back that also said 'heavy duty'. The new pkg plates are thinner, not as fluted and even the paper it is made out of is different -- it's not as shiny so I assume they aren't coated. Translation -- we are being sold the cheap ones that you have to use 2 or 3 at one time because they don't hold up. I guess Walmart changed it's supplier or the supplier went to a cheaper paper and processing method. Makes me wonder what other 'Great Value' products have changed?

Heavy Duty?

Your idea of heavy duty and mine are 2 different things. Gets soggy quick. Ok for just hot dogs and chips but anything moist, best not use. Won't buy again.
